Goal: To enable participants to get orientation in research ethics and publication ethics; help get insights into operational issues, and help appreciate application of ethical reasoning towards resolving then in social science research
Objectives:
- To appreciate the origins of research ethics discourse viewed from the historical perspective; to understand importance of ethics in social science research
- To appreciate foundational aspects of research ethics basics of research ethics and its relationship with law, human rights, and broad ethics principles
- To understand in-depth, select key notions, their operational facets and challenges involved;
- To get insights in to ethical matters relating to professional integrity with focus on publication ethics, misconduct, fraud and plagiarism
Course participants: Doctoral scholars, and faculty from NCDS and other academic institutes in Bhubaneswar
