Indian Journal of Medical Ethics : Selected readings 1993-2003. FMES and CSER
This story begins with a failure. Thirteen years ago a group of doctors fought the Maharashtra state medical council elections on the platform of ‘ethical medical practice’. They lost, and they lost badly. But instead of conceding defeat they turned that loss into a gain. They started a newsletter where people with a commitment to ethics could express their views, and thus promote better medical practice. That newsletter eventually became Indian Journal of Medical Ethics. Publication date: 2005
